We are a small boutique hotel with rooms, suites, and villa type condominiums and penthouses nestled next to a spectacular beach for surfing in one of the most beautiful settings around the Central Pacific of Costa Rica.

Marea Brava is just over an hour drive from San Jose International Airport, the hotel is tranquilly tucked away into the corner of one of Costa Rica’s premier beaches, but is still close to everything provided by Jaco.

Marea Brava Beachfront Suites and Villas is a beach front, boutique style hotel, located on Playa Hermosa de Jaco.  This is not to be confused with Playa Hermosa in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica’s northwest peninsula.  Playa Grande de Jaco is considered to be the best surfing in the entire country, with wave height reaching over 10 feet in height.  Marea Brava Beachfront Suites and Villas bring the biggest and best waves from the Pacific Ocean, right to your doorstep!   Marea Brava has the comfort of a luxurious hotel, but is small in size, allowing each guests to receive much more personal attention.  Hotel amenities include swimming pool, bar, and internet.

Marea Brava Beachfront Suites and Villas has several accommodation options, one of which will definitely fit your budget and group’s needs.  The Studio Suite: Studio suites feature a sitting room that includes air conditioning, television, microwave and refrigerator, and two bedrooms.

The Poolside Condo features, air conditioning, television, fully equipped kitchen, a full size living room and dining area, large balcony with a view of our main pool.

The Ocean Front Condo includes, air conditioning, television, fully equipped kitchen, a full size living room and dining area, large balcony with a view of the ocean.

Penthouse Poolside includes, air conditioning, television, fully equipped kitchen, a full size living room and dining area, a large balcony either with a view of our main pool.

And finally, the Penthouse Ocean Side features, air conditioning, television, fully equipped kitchen, a full size living room and dining area, a large balcony either with a view of the ocean.

Marea Brava Beachfront Suites and Villas offers guests a great chance to see a very rare and spectacular part of Costa Rica.  Playa Hermosa de Jaco doesn’t get the crowds of Playa Jaco, so many visitors to the area take advantage of the less busy Playa Hermosa.  All in all, these condos are prefect for families with children and couples, but not as great as a fit for people that want to spend late nights in Jaco, the vibe at Marea Brava Beachfront Suites and Villas is much more laid back that tourist heavy, Jaco.
